Open Rumbo, set a starting point (search for an address, drop a pin, or use your current location), then set a destination the same way. Rumbo calculates the route automatically. Choose your preferred map theme and quality mode, then tap Generate. Your video will be ready in seconds.
You need an internet connection to search for locations, calculate routes, and load map tiles. However, once a video is generated, it's saved locally on your device and can be viewed and shared offline.
Location access is completely optional. Rumbo only uses it when you tap "Use current location" as a convenience to set your starting point. You can always search for an address or tap the map instead. Location is never accessed in the background or stored.
Rumbo offers three quality modes: Fast (quick previews, 30m sample distance), Normal (balanced quality, 20m), and Detailed (smooth cinematic output, 10m). Higher quality means smoother animation but slightly longer generation time.
There is no catch. Rumbo is genuinely free with no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription, and no sign-up. It uses free, open-source APIs for all its functionality. We built it because we wanted it to exist.
Rumbo supports routes up to 50 km. For routes over 10 km, you'll see a warning because longer routes take more time to render. If your route exceeds the limit, try breaking it into shorter segments.
